Mr. Boat Guy!Power boating for family recreation and fun can be the ticket to a more healthy way of living. Although human recreational needs are present in all of us, recreation is often the elixir for stress relief, and recreation also frequently provides the diversion (escape) from the challenges of life – a place where we can usually find real balance in our lives.

Many occupations are strenuous enough to provide an appetite for entertainment. People are generally not particular as to its character or form, though the more pleasantly stimulating it is, the greater the satisfaction. Even putting occupations aside, we can all find that we crave the need to escape, and/or apply ourselves to something fun to do. Power boating, even with the whole family, is not only recreational and fun – it answers the need.

Cravings for excitement, and a stimulus that will restore depleted energies, can be very dangerous too. Many will be drawn into the bars and clubs, finding temporary satisfaction, but such places provide temptations, that when yielded to, will rob them of the self-control abilities that civilization has put upon our most primitive passions, allowing those elevated primitive instincts to have their way.

Power boating fits the bill!

The most healthy forms of entertainment/recreation involve exercise, sunshine, and positive social interaction. Getting out and about in natural (rather than man-made) surroundings whenever possible leads us to a quieter and more relaxed state of mind. Why wait until a health care professional requires listening to water gently falling, or waves brushing the shoreline, to take the necessary time out of our busy schedules, and get some real healthy recreation in? Where is the FUN in that???

Water activities are a lot more fun to be involved in, than simply “listening” to gentle soothing audio tracts, lets face it! This isn’t rocket science here. The most memorable times of recreation that anyone could have, might just be centered in and around the water (is is for me). My philosophy here?  “Just add water!”

Please consider this; Even if there no money for a boat, or a cottage on the shoreline, swimming is a great exercise, a lot of fun, and something that can be enjoyed with others. Water games – even splashing can provide countless hours of good clean fun and many enjoyable memories.

Am I right? Do you agree with me?
